Established in 2011, Green Horizon Lawn & Plant Health Care started when Ryan Sommers set out to develop an environmentally responsible Lawn & Plant Health Care company in the Northern NJ marketplace.  Having nearly 30 years of experience, and already in the Green Industry since 1993, Ryan was previously a Branch Sales Manager and New Jersey State Licensed Pesticide Dealer for Lesco Inc./John Deere Landscapes (JDL) since 2000.  Prior to his time at John Deere & Lesco Inc. providing industry related products to professional landscapers, golf courses and construction companies, Ryan worked in the field as a Certified Applicator, and also as a Commercial Grounds Maintenance Foreman for a large Landscape Maintenance Company located in the Northern New Jersey area. Ryan has used his networking capabilities through professional contacts and relationships he has built over his many years in the industry to help get Green Horizon off and running.

Green Horizon is very proud to be a subcontractor, consultant and strategic business partner for over 30 Landscape & Tree Professionals in the Northern NJ marketplace that seek to add our product offering to their services in an effort to provide their clients with a “one stop shop” feel.  Green Horizon specializes in keeping your lawn, plants, and landscape looking its best all year round.  We currently provide services in the following counties:  Morris, Somerset, Southern Sussex, Eastern Warren and Western Essex, but we also have clientele in select markets outside of the aforementioned areas.

The team at Green Horizon made sure that whatever they started, they would build a solid foundation first before entering into a market place. With that, Green Horizon Lawn & Plant Health Care immediately acquired all necessary licensing to work in this industry. Our licensing is as follows:

Once all licensing was obtained, Green Horizon proceeded to work with and recruit industry leaders to provide lawn and plant health care to their existing clients.  In addition to the existing clientele, Ryan networked and solicited to what now represents the majority of its client list; a mix of residential homes, residential HOA communities, High-end Corporate Campuses and Commercial sites such as Restaurant and Hotel Chains.  Our sites range in size from 1/4 acre to 130 acres.   Our services include Organic Based Lawn Care, Organic Based Plant Health Care (Trees & Shrubs), Organic Tick & Mosquito Reduction, Insect and Disease Reduction through Integrated Pest Management (IPM), pH management of soils, soil testing, Arborjet tree injections for Emerald Ash Borer, Spotted Lanternfly solutions, and lawn renovation through core aeration and over-seeding.
